We have details of well over 1000 different volunteering opportunities in Oxfordshire. The organisations looking for volunteers are as wide and varied as the opportunities they are offering. Hospitals need ward visitors, prisons need advocates, animal charities need pet socialisers, community groups need administrators, journalists . . . . . . and so it goes on, the list is endless.
To find your ideal role, get in touch with a vinvolved Youth Volunteer Adviser. You can talk by e-mail, phone or face to face to discuss your interests, skills, career goals, location, availability etc. They will then talk to you about the some volunteering and help you make contact with the organisation/s you have chosen.
What next? Fill the attached form, and email back to a Youth Adviser.
Then register on www.do-it.org, the national voluntering database. Get an idea of what opportunities are oavailable in Oxfordshire. Make sure you apply for opportunities which start with '16-25?. If you apply, it doesn't mean you're committed, just registering interest. Your details will then be emailed to one of our Youth Advisers. They'll get in touch to talk more about the roles you're interested in.
