The national vinspired awards recognise the time you commit, the skills you develop and the difference you make through your volunteering.

The vinspired awards have been designed to boost your CV by showing employers, colleges, universities and others clear evidence of what you’ve achieved as a volunteer. It has already won backing from high-profile business leaders, including Dragon’s Den star James Caan:

“I am thrilled to be part of the vinspired awards and endorse the scheme. There is a real need for employers to understand the full extent of skills young people gain through volunteering experiences. In these financially challenging times it has never been more important for young job seekers to stand out and be noticed by employers and it is equally important for businesses to ensure they recognise the motivation, commitment and desire volunteers have for self improvement, which are all key attributes required in candidates by any successful business.”

Any volunteer aged 16-25 in England can apply for one of two vinspired awards simply by keeping a record of their volunteering online:

  • vfifty - gained from completing 50 hours volunteering within 12 months
  • vimpact - achieved by doing a further 100 hours volunteering within 12 months
